How it Works

Skimmer (mechanical filter): Installed along the pond’s perimeter, the skimmer pulls in floating debris such as leaves, dust, and surface waste. It houses both a pump and a basket, making it the first step in keeping your water feature clear. Removing surface material early reduces buildup and prevents organic decay at the bottom.

Step 2

BioFalls® (biological filter): This filter is tucked inside the waterfall feature, where water flows after passing through the skimmer. It contains a natural filter media that supports colonies of beneficial bacteria, which break down dissolved organic material and nutrients that would otherwise cause algae. This natural process helps ensure healthy, crystal-clear water.
