How it Works

Step 1

Skimmer (mechanical filter): Located at the edge of the pond, the skimmer continuously draws in water from the surface. Its purpose is to catch leaves, petals, and other floating particles before they settle to the bottom. The pump and basket inside the skimmer help prevent buildup and keep the water clean right from the start.

Step 2

BioFalls® (biological filter): Once the water passes through the skimmer, it moves through the BioFalls unit. Usually hidden in the waterfall, this filter is filled with special media that allows beneficial bacteria to grow. These bacteria naturally process nutrients and small particles, keeping the pond water clear and safe for plants and fish.
