How it Works
Step 1
Skimmer (mechanical filter): The skimmer is installed at the edge of the pond where it continuously draws in water from the surface. As it does, it collects floating debris such as leaves, flower petals, and dust. Inside, a basket and pump work together to keep large particles from reaching the bottom of the pond. This step reduces buildup and prepares the water for biological treatment.
Step 2
BioFalls® (biological filter): Once the water has been cleared of larger debris, it enters the BioFalls unit, which is usually placed at the top of a waterfall. This filter contains media that hold beneficial bacteria. These bacteria clean the water by breaking down nutrients and organic matter, helping to keep the pond clear and in balance without using any harsh additives.

Our system uses two important filters. The mechanical filter takes out leaves and debris, while the biological filter uses bacteria to remove smaller particles that could cloud the water or harm fish. This natural process supports long term clarity and allows your pond to function like a living ecosystem.
